Last of the Cargo

Alfonso, Bekah, and I saw Dale and Ian to the helo pad this morning, and they are at Lake Joyce!  Then we pulled frozen food, cleaned glassware, found remaining items, cut sediment coring tubes, and collected medications.  We packed the last of the gear (with the exception of our personal things) and took it to the helo pad.  It was hundreds of pounds again, in part because it included many liters of distilled water and three diving weight belts.  The weight belts weighed about 160 pounds by themselves!  We feel like we have way too much stuff, but we'll see.

After delivering the gear and eating dinner, Bekah and I went to a Zumba class in the gym.  It helped stretch out my slightly sore legs and very sore shoulders.  They are sore from lifting so much weight.  I'm very happy that it's my shoulders and legs that are sore rather than my back.  I must be doing the lifting properly.

Tomorrow morning, we head to Snow School I, otherwise known as Happy Camper.  We'll be out overnight, staying in tents or various types of snow shelters.  I'm looking forward to it!  No posts until I'm back.
